That Infosys has just been voted the most sought after company in India, in a Business Today survey might at first seem to be a piece of 'so what?' news. But it actually matters that businesses such as Infosys are able to attract and retain the best employees because good employment conditions breed positive attitudes towards work and that matters for any business using Infosys' outsourcing services. Quality is the new 'black' in outsourcing; it matters as much as cost to firms who see BPO as a way of enhancing their own offer to the market.

In fact, Infosys has a track record to be proud of in this respect and is setting a strong example for others to follow.
